Neons for spring

image

While it’s true that pastels are popular for spring (and especially Easter weekend!), who says you can’t step out in something bolder?

J. Crew’s punk floral print is back, and even though the grass is still dead, and there are no leaves on the trees, it doesn’t mean I can’t be colourful!

The Classic Lady Trinity watch by Daniel Wellington has been my go-to accessory for the last few weeks, and…

Orange zinger

No sign of green grass yet, so I’m adding a springy vibe with this citrus print sweater. Midi skirts are really in this spring, I’m still wearing mine with tights….

Paired with the J. Crew Stone Burst necklace for a bit of colour.

Denim days

image

Spring is here, and while it’s not quite warm enough for dresses and flowing skirts, it’s finally nice enough to venture out without a winter coat.

image

Keeping things light with a denim ensemble, and an embellished top to dress it up a little bit.

And the obligatory statement necklace!

Goodbye Carrie!

If you’re a fellow Edmontonian, you’re probably familiar with CTV’s Carrie Doll, whether you watch the 6:00 news or not.

Spots and stripes

image

I’m a big fan of mixing patterns. This stripe/spot combo is perfect for work, and a coffee date afterwards!

Layering some basic statement necklaces adds a bit of sparkle.

Spring is SLOWLY coming. My J. Crew quilted tack jacket is a good transitional piece.

Spring layering

image

It’s finally warm enough to break out the spring jacket! Or at least start transitioning a jacket you’ve been wearing indoors to the outdoors…

I’m enjoying this oversized boyfriend coat from H&M. The texture of the coat adds a whole new dynamic to my casual Sunday outfit.

I went with a neutral army green pant, and a light coloured tee, so accents are particularly important. A colourful…

Lighten up

image

You can’t really see it in this photo, but the snow is starting to melt! That means transitional pieces are a must. This sequined maxi skirt is a great one, because it’s heavy enough to keep out the chilly spring winds, but you can skip the tights on warmer days. One layer down!

Light coloured chambray is perfect for this time of year. Casual and fresh. The last time I posted this skirt was…

Patterns galore!

image

It FINALLY feels like warmer weather is on the way, and I’m breaking out the spring colours to celebrate! I had a lot of people ask me if this was a one piece outfit, but it’s a top and a pair of pants. I think it’s a lot of fun to pair them together! Adding the LV pattern on the bag might be too much for some people, but mixing patterns can be a great way to add a pop to your outfit.

Friday, Friday, Friday!

image

What do I do to keep my casual Friday outfit from becoming too boring? Slip on an eye catching jacket. In this case, the Wilfred Pollard jacket by Aritzia.

image

Other than that, casual Friday is just that, casual. Graphic sweatshirt and a great pair of aviators complete the look.

Coat from Aritzia, sweatshirt from Urban Outfitters, sunglasses by Ray Bans, toothpick jeans by J. Crew, boots by Dolce…
